1880's SARGENT 6374 ENTRY DOOR KNOB SET KEYS, STRIKE, ROSETTES, BEAUTIFUL (18236)

Vintage, Sargent double keyed entry set, circa 1880's (shown in their 1888 Hardware Catalog.  The set is completely restored and comes with the original rebuilt Sargent 6374 mortise lock. The mortise has a brass Eastlake design face, comes with both keys & works perfectly.
The mortise requires a
5/16" split knob post shaft and it is included in the set.
The 6374 mortise lock has a front plate length of 6 7/8" and a width of 1 3/16" and thickness of 1/8".
Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 7/8".
The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the closest key slot is 1 1/4" and the drop to the second key hole is 3 1/8".
The set includes the brass double keyed backplate, the key and the knob escutcheon, a thumb turn knob that throws the deadbolt from inside the door and the strikeplate!  Save for a few screws, the lock set is complete. Wonderful patina.  Works perfectly and should last another 130 years!  Magnificent and uncommon!!
