BLUMIN REFERENCE ID: D-10600
Vintage, Corbin double keyed entry set, circa 1880's (shown in their 1885 Hardware Catalog and patented and designed by George S. Barkentin in April of 1882. The set is completely restored and comes with the original rebuilt Corbin 1350 mortise lock which is NOT REVESIBLE. We have included a brass strikeplate that fits the set and it comes with both keys & works perfectly.
The mortise requires a
3/8" split knob post shaft and it is included in the set.
The 1350 mortise lock has a front plate length of 8" and a width of 1 1/4" and thickness of 1/8".
Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 5/8".
The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the closest key slot is 2 3/8" and the drop to the second key hole is 3 7/8".
The set includes the brass double keyed exterior backplate (it measures 9" by 2 1/4"), the the interior brass knob escutcheon, a interior brass key escutcheon and a brass strikeplate! Save for a few screws, the lock set is complete. Wonderful patina.
The lock is set for a Left Hand Door or Right Hand Reverse (See Hand of Doors chart in the pictures). The lock is not reversible and must be set up this way.
Works perfectly and should last another 150 years! Magnificent and uncommon!!
