Antique 1880s F.C. Linde & Co. Brass Door Back Plates & Matching Mortise Lock.
This lot consists of a matching set of Backplates and matching mortise lock. It is an original matching pair of antique 1880's cast brass "Eastlake" pattern backplates with escutcheons designed and fabricated by F.C. Linde & Co., from Cresskill, NJ. Each backplate contains a protruding escutcheon, single keyhole and screw holes for mounting purposes. The surface patina is mostly uniform throughout. Also included is a mortise lock with a brass striker plate that matches the backplates.
The backplates measure 5¼" x 1¾". The lock has a 2⅜″ backset. The striker plate is 5¼" tall x 1" wide. The lock body minus the striker plate is 3½″ tall and 3″ deep. This is a Gorgeous set. Use as intended or put back into use in your home. Please see pictures as they are part of the description.
