Antique Yale & Towne (Y&T) Solid Brass 6" x 1 1/4" Door Knob Keyhole Backplate

For sale is One (1) Antique Yale & Towne (Y & T) Solid Brass Door Knob/Keyhole Backplate.  It
measured  6" long x 1 1/4" wide.  Distance f
rom the center of the knob spindle/shaft hole to the center of the keyhole (where shaft of key is inserted) is 2 7/8."
The knob hole measured from the back (small hole) is approximately 19/32" in diameter.  Measured from the front (face) of the backplate, the hole is larger, measuring 45/64".  The collar, or circular area where the knob spindle is inserted is approximately 5/8" high (relief) from the face of the backplate.  There is a very slight bevel on this backplate.  This is a solid, thick backplate, with the thickness measured at 1/8".  It appears to be a cast brass piece.  It weighed 5.12 ounces.
This is an early 1900s backplate.  The backplate is in very good condition, particularly when factoring in it's age.  The main defect present is the presence of two tiny nicks at the 9:00 position on the top of the collar (see photograph).  There are also paint remnants in the bottom of the screw holes, which will not be visible when the screws are in place.
No screws are included.  Ruler is not included.
