CIRCA 1880 EASTLAKE MORTISE LOCK w/KEY FULLY RESTORED, 5 3/8"FACE, 2 3/8"BS (18573)
Vintage, circa 1880: Salvaged Eastake mortise lock that has been keyed and fully restored. No maker marks, have not yet identified it. Wonderful bright brass face.
Intricate Eastlake design on the face, reversible, works perfectly, fully restored.
FACEPLATE:
Mortise lock has a intricate Eastlake face plate with a length of 5 3/8" and a width of 7/8" and thickness of 1/8".
BACKSET:
Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 3/8".
DROP:
The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 2 1/8".
KNOB POST or SHAFT:
The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" knob post.
SCREWS:
Screws are on 4 5/8" centers.
BOX:
The mortise box itself is 3 1/8" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back edge of the box and it is 3 1/2" high, 1/2" thick.
REVERSIBILITY:
The lock is reversible.
Excellent condition, with key, works perfectly and, save for a few screws, ready for your project!!
