Offered here is a little gem of a 3/4 size. This is a quality violin for when your child deserves the best. It is in very good condition and a beautifully wooded 3/4 size violin. The violin bears a label: Leon Bernardel Luthier A Paris. I believe this label is authentic and the violin the work of this French Master. If you look at the pictures of this auction, you will see the maker is listed in The Henley Universal Dictionary and this label is one of the first so I am assuming the date of origin to be in or around 1899.  Included at no extra cost is a very sturdy case and bow. The sound is very sweet and warm but on the dark side. There is a repair on the table (top) that goes through the soundpost area that is professional and holding. This fine 3/4 has a
lovely flamed maple two piece back. There are the usual scratches, scuffs and scrapes to the varnish one would expect from a violin this age. The violin has GOOD NEW STRINGS on it, a . value! The wood is tight fine grain spruce on the table and really lovely flamed maple on the ribs, back, neck. The inlayed purfling is real, not painted on!!!
