1870 CORBIN HDW MORTISE LOCK w/KEY 5 5/8" BRASS FACEPLATE RESTORED (16030)

Vintage, P.F. CORBIN, patent date of 1870, made prior to Corbin incorporating the model numbers into the castings of their lock boxes, one of their earliest mortise locks. Comes with key, fully restored and working perfectly.
FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a brass face plate length of 5 5/8" and a width of 15/16" and thickness of 1/8".
BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4".
BOX: The box measures 3 1/4" from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box. The box measures 4" top to bottom.
DROP: The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot) is 2 3/8".
KNOB POST: The lock utilizes a standard 5/16" knob post.
