    ONE CORBIN #159 1/4 'JACK & JILL' MORTISE LOCK - WORKS GREAT  (15940)
    Vintage, P.F. CORBIN, Model # 159 1/4 mortise lock, fully restored and working perfectly.
    FUNCTIONALITY: Designed as a mortise lock to separate two rooms.  Has no key, but rather functions from each side of the door with a turn knob that throws the deadbolt.  Deadbolts act independently from each side to lock or unlock the door, similar to adjoining rooms in hotel.
    FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a brass face plate length of 5 3/8" and a width of 15/16" and thickness of 1/8".
    BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2".
    BOX: The box measures 3 1/4" from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box.  The box measures 3 5/8" top to bottom.
    DROP: The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the thumb turn hole is 2 1/8".
    KNOB POST: The lock utilizes a standard 5/16" knob post.
