    Description
    VINTAGE MINIATURE ASIAN BASKET
    Interesting and unusual vintage hand made basket measuring 4-5/8" long, 2" wide and 2-1/2" in height. Featuring an elliptical shape, top and base are carved wood, side is hand woven rattan on wood - lid lifts off and complete fits over the base. Construction is tiny nail and condition is lovely with no separation, holes, cracks or damage other than rubbing to the inside base from the fit of the lid. Haven't a clue as to age - I purchased it in the early 1980s and am guessing it is Japanese in origin. Just a neat vintage box - unusual shape and a wonderful piece of folk art.
