Description

Vintage whale oil fire starter. This was bought in Vermont at auction in the early 1930's-not sure of its age but do think it may be a copy of an earlier model. The pumice bulb is intact. We used this to start fires in the fireplace (kerosene used not whale oil!).The pot is about 5 3/4 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall and another 4 inches to the top of the handle.
