Note the opening for a flat key (no. 38 or equivalent) which tells of age - pre-1900. See PEXTO pix). Key not included but available on-line.
Based on my research this plate is Eastlake era design and maker is Mallory and Wheeler Co. with logo on back side. One hole on faceplate of pull plugged as not used. Unbranded lock in working condition. Dead bolt partial extended to show it is not frozen. Could use a little lubricant. Bottom push to lift/retract latch works smoothly. I suspect this lock/plate assembly was just used as a decorative door pull/latch and key/lock was not used.
Four solid brass wood screws included for attachment. Two for the plate and two for the (lock slotted) / (roundhead for the plate).
